The Fey's Lesson of love by ~shayton:iconshayton:

The Fairy-Folk Teach The Lesson Of Love
-------------------------------------------------------
The following is a lesson,
The fey have brought to me.
Spoken in a little verse, tonight,
Of what true love should be.

Love is a wordless song,
Heard only by the heart.
Binding two souls as one
Such that none can tear them apart.

Two lovebirds perched, in a wire- framed pen,
An enclosure with eternally open doors
It is their choice,
Their decision to make
To escape leaving if it were their bidding.
The only questions are -
If and when?

As an unlocked, glassless, windowsill
Allowing both the freedom
To come and go,
As they will,

Although they have the ever-present gift of flight,
At any given moment, day or night
They remain together,
Snuggling so close, so tight.

Overlooking their garden paradise,
Not entangled,
Or trapped together, in any unnatural vice.

What is the seal that binds them so comfortable, so snug as a glove?
It is mutual freedom and understanding,
Ever lasting trust and unconditional love

Even with the freedom of escape they both hold
These two shall linger together
With a bond stronger,
Then any lock one can mold.
